Getting to Know Catherine Bickley, DDS
A native of Stone Mountain, Georgia, Dr. Bickley graduated cum laude from the University of Georgia Honors Program with a Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology. In addition to earning her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from the UNC School of Dentistry in Chapel Hill, Dr. Bickley studied at the prestigious Kois Center for advanced dentistry. She also holds an undergraduate art minor—training which has enhanced her cosmetic dentistry perspective.
In 1991, she established her own practice in Mooresville, North Carolina and proudly serves the Lake Norman community she calls home. A member of the NC Dental Society, American Dental Association (ADA), Academy of General Dentistry (AGD) and American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, Dr. Bickley has served as:
- Past President, Iredell County Dental Society
- Past President, 2nd District, North Carolina Dental Society
- Past Chairperson, ADA Committee on the New Dentist
- 16th District National Representative, ADA Council on Membership
An avid volunteer, Dr. Bickley supports a number of humanitarian efforts including volunteering at the former Open Door Clinic in Statesville and HealthReach Clinic in Mooresville. She has served as the Iredell/North Mecklenburg chairperson for Give Kids a Smile, a past board member for the American Cancer Society and a former chairperson for Solace for the Children. Previously the mentor program chair for the NC Dental Society, she currently works as a volunteer for the Society’s Missions of Mercy. Believing that good health begins with healthy habits, Dr. Bickley is a triathlete and a 70.3 Ironman competitor.
